YANGA Members to benefit from high quality medical services provided by Aga Khan Hospitals

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, 6th February 2024. Members of Young Africans Club have a reason to smile after the club signed a two-year contract with Aga Khan Health Services Tanzania (AKHST), which will enable them to have access to quality medical services at affordable bills.

Apart from the members, the quality health services will also be accessible to the club’s players, officials, as well as staff at the Aga Khan Hospitals across the country.

The AKHST’s Chief Executive Officer, Sisawo Konteh, and Yanga’s president, Hersi Saidi, signed the contract in a brief ceremony held today February 6, 2024 at the club’s headquarters in Dares Salaam.

Konteh said their collaboration with Yang will benefit many members and players of the club in terms of quality health services provided at their centres across the country.

“We would like to see all the club’s members, players, officials, as well as fans are healthy and the club as well. This collaboration is the best one, and I am confident that everybody will enjoy our services,” Konteh stressed.

For his part, Yanga’s president explained that their cooperation with AKHST will make them benefit from the quality medical services provided by the institution.

“This is a reward for each member of Yanga paying an annual fee of Sh24, 000 to support the club. It is a pride to sign this contract, and I urge all Yanga’s fans and supporters across the country not to hesitate to join the club as members to become beneficiaries of this contract,” he said.

He said they are aware of the importance of promoting good health by implementing special programmes for their members and players, expressing that sporting progress heavily relies on good health.

“A valid Yanga member will receive a discounted rate. Aga Khan Health Services has many healthcare facilities in various areas. The club’s members should not worry about costs and instead they should seek treatment for stable healthcare.

“This significant benefit is a result of the trust they’ve placed in their team, and that’s why we didn’t want it to end with just leaders and players,” he said.
