Yanga Sports Club and Aga Khan Hospital Host Blood Donation Drive

Dar es Salaam, August 1, 2024: Yanga SC (Sports Club), in collaboration with the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam and the National Blood Transfusion Service – Tanzania, organized a blood donation drive to celebrate “Mwananchi Week.” This week is dedicated to members of the Young African Sports Club across the country. The event took place simultaneously at Jangwani Grounds, Mbagala, and Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam.

The blood donation drive was a resounding success, with over 300 bags of blood collected from generous donors. This significant contribution will greatly aid hospitals and medical facilities in providing essential blood transfusions to patients in need. The event saw enthusiastic participation from a diverse group of individuals, including members of Yanga SC, local residents, and healthcare professionals. The success of this drive highlights the community’s spirit and willingness to support life-saving initiatives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors for their selfless contributions and encourage everyone to continue supporting blood donation efforts. Your donation can make a crucial difference in someone’s life.
