Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu Hosts Free Clinic for World Kidney Day

Kisumu, Kenya, March 12, 2026: To mark World Kidney Day on 12th March 2026, The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu, hosted a FREE Kidney clinic to raise awareness and support individuals at risk of kidney disease.

The event provided access to expert medical consultations, with patients receiving free one-on-one sessions with a nephrologist. Attendees benefited from a comprehensive package of complimentary services, including urinalysis, rapid blood sugar testing, and blood pressure checks

Those requiring additional investigations were offered laboratory and radiology services at special discounted rates, ensuring cost did not stand in the way of timely diagnosis and care.

The event drew a strong response, prompting many to pursue kidney-health measures.

 

About The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu

The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu was established in 1952 as a private, not-for-profit institution providing primary, secondary, and tertiary health care services in Kenya. In 2019 the hospital was awarded a SafeCare Level 5 Certification and is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Health System, which operates in eight countries, and provides community health programmes covering over 200 health facilities, including 22 hospitals.
