Dar es Salaam, August 31, 2024: The Aga Khan Hospital actively supported environmental conservation by participating in a significant monthly cleaning campaign at Dengu Beach, spearheaded by the Dar es Salaam City Council.
The campaign, which focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces and fostering community engagement, saw a collaborative effort between local authorities, community members, and organisations like ours. By joining this important cause, The Aga Khan Hospital underscores its dedication to environmental stewardship and public health, emphasising the interconnectedness of a clean environment and a healthy community. This collective effort not only cleaned the area but also reminded us of the importance of preserving our natural surroundings for future generations.
Participation in such initiatives aligns with our broader commitment to social responsibility, as we believe that healthcare extends beyond the walls of our hospital. By contributing to a cleaner and healthier community, we are actively supporting the well-being of the people we serve, demonstrating our commitment to their health and happiness.
The Aga Khan Hospital remains steadfast in its mission to foster a healthier society, a mission that we are committed to and passionate about. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Dar es Salaam City Council and other stakeholders in future environmental campaigns as we work together towards a healthier and more sustainable future.
