LUSAKA, ZAMBIA 24 March 2025: Eden University has signed a landmark partnership with the Aga Khan Health Service, Tanzania to establish a state-of-the-art hospital aimed at transforming healthcare delivery, enhancing medical expertise, and strengthening healthcare systems. The collaboration will focus on capacity building, training, and efficient referral systems, creating valuable opportunities for both students and faculty while improving access to specialized medical care for Zambians.
Eden University Vice Chancellor Dr. Alvert Ng’andu highlighted the transformative impact of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will introduce telemedicine, rotational student exchange programmes, and digital health solutions to bridge gaps in patient care.
Mr. Murtaza Mukhtar, Head of Clinical Operations, at Aga Khan Health Service, Tanzania, emphasized the importance of strengthening healthcare facilities in Africa, to reduce reliance on overseas treatment by ensuring that high-quality medical services are available locally.
