Dar es Salaam, April 17, 2025: The IHPA Certificate Award Ceremony marked a significant achievement for five female therapists who graduated from the pelvic rehabilitation programme, which spanned over a year. With the support of IHPA and various institutions, including hospitals in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nairobi, and Dar es Salaam, the programme trained participants on essential topics related to pelvic health, such as antenatal care, incontinence, and pelvic pain, comprising more than 60 hours of instruction.
The graduates earned commendations for their commitment, emphasizing how their enhanced skills will contribute to better pelvic health services. The ceremony also underscored the critical role of pelvic health, the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the potential advancements in patient care resulting from this training. This initiative not only empowers healthcare providers but also aims to elevate the standard of care for patients dealing with pelvic health issues.
